Thanksgiving: when you all get together to eat (a lot) and try to watch football over the loud snoring of someone on the couch. But above all it's about gratitude. And isn’t it about time you got thanked? You will when you pair your T-Day feast with a bottle of Malbec. If any holiday calls for a plush wine with a velvety finish, this is certainly the one.

Sure, turkey plays well with lots of different wines, but the rich, dark meat marries perfectly with a glass of full-bodied Malbec. Consider using a bold spice rub for that bird – or even smoke it – and the match is spot on.

 

Intense dishes? Bring them on. Malbec doesn't just handle big flavor – it enhances it. So feel free to pair that Gascón, (and all its spice notes) with a jalapeno-studded cornbread or a spicy sausage stuffing.
